Thanks to its flexibility, palm is a material that has been used in many communities around the world to develop useful items for everyday life, such as baskets for storing grains. The women of San Luis, in Oaxaca, Mexico, have been mastering palm weaving techniques for generations to create these stunning handmade lidded palm baskets. A lot of time and skill is required as the palm leaves are stripped and dyed then woven using traditional Mixtec patterns.
A Two Webster favorite since our early days, we use these baskets all around the house for everything from coffee pods to toilet paper and towels.
